I couldn’t get too close and my cell phone camera isn’t very good. However I think this looks like a bald eagle.

I’ve seen it circling for a couple of weeks.

Sure looks like one. We have a few pairs here that hang around the river and Notre Dame has a nest cam on a pair that returns to the same nest every year that is pretty interesting. They are an impressive bird.

Definitely.
Actually quite a few in northern Wisconsin, typically around lakes and streams, especially where there is open water in the winter.

I saw one a couple weeks ago just above my place flying up the canyon. Only saw it for a few seconds before it dropped out of sight but it was close enough that there was no doubt it was a Bald Eagle. Don't see them often but they are around.

I'm very lucky to live along the CT river where many Bald Eagles nest and raise their young. I've been seeing and photographing them since the early 1990s. A few months ago, I was sitting on my deck and a large shadow passed over me. I looked up and saw the Eagle. I went inside to get my camera, but by then it had soared much higher, but still overhead. Even though I see them often and regularly, they are still the most exciting creature in my neighborhood.

We have a pair nesting right across the lake from us. They generally raise three chicks each year. Then it's
fun to see them try to run them out of their territory once they're grown.

Some people could learn from that.

I’ve seen this bird for a few weeks usually circling high above the fields. I thought it was a hawk until today when it was perched in a tree overlooking a couple acres of now open water. This area looks like it would be prime eagle territory.

I live in NW Ohio about 10 miles from Lake Erie as the eagle flies. There are about 90 nesting pairs in my county. The nearest to me is about a half mile away. Nice to see them around.

I drove into town today and a bald eagle was flying at treetop over the road looking for roadkill. I slowed down to about 20 mph and followed him for about two miles. It was cool as he was 50 feet up and 200 feet in front of me so I got a long close view.

I see them all the time riding the bike trail. There are several nests along the river.

Every winter when the Kokanne in Lake Coeur d’alene (north Idaho) spawn the eagles gather for the feeding fest. At times there can be up to 30+ birds there at the same time. Very fun to watch the action.

Ohhh, do like those Kokanne. They fry up sooo good! Wife loves cooking those. Whenever I'm up in Idaho at my friends place, we'll fish Ririe Res and snag some Kokanne's. We get enough, I'll bring some home. Love 'em. Maybe I'm part Bald Eagle!
