I now have a AT&T cell phone and am slowly changing everything over. It took me an hour to sign on here. Hope I can post this.

I wanted to shoot it five minutes ago! The best part of this is I now have a 715 area code just like the locals. I’m giving up my number of 35 years.

I swapped from verizon to consumer cellular back in late February. I have been very happy with it, and them. We went from 385 per month to 90 bucks.

I went from $108 to about the same with four times the broadband and no throttling back. Plus I can create my own hotspot for my laptop AND I can broadcast free movies to my satellite TV because Starlink is owned by AR&T.

My cell phone will meet its end one day with a .50 cal patched lead ball.

I switched to Spectrum. $14.00 a month for unlimited service.

How fast is it? AT&T seems really fast compared to what I had.

I don’t notice any difference than Verizon’s . They charged me $55.00. a month.

Gene, did you get an iPhone? We are going to switch over to T Mobile, they have the most 5G coverage of any cell phone provider.

I miss my flip phone. I swear the phone company made issues with it to force folks over to a "smart" phone. My flip phone made and received calls, made and received texts. OK, that's all I really need. It was nice and small, rugged, cheap to replace if I did damage it. It just got to the point that there were too many times it would lock up and had to be rebooted to get service. That was over 3 different flip phones, and no one at the phone store could/would tell me what the underlying problem was.

Anyway, the "smart" phone solved that problem, and created several more. At least it's fairly cheap to replace. Just go and buy a $50 Tracphone and swap out the sim card, and you're good to go. It is, after all, a phone.

I'm not putting own folks that like their "smart" phones, unless they are chatting on the phone instead of taking care of business at the checkout counter. I just don't see the need to have a crappy camera, a difficult to use internet computer, a semi reasonable GPS, etc, rather than using the real thing that is always better at what it does than a swiss army phone.

OK, rant over. I honestly hope you enjoy your new phone. Everyone has to have a little joy in life. You get it where you can.

Yes it’s smaller than my last one which was too big to handle. This phone and service is FAST!
