Couple of pictures further up the creek......

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:57 am

Interesting little spot further up the creek. Planning on clearing a trail up to that area along the creek and might just place a picnic table along the creek side. Winter good time to clear out the briar vines !

Sounds like you already have a good plan in mind. Should be a nice quiet place to go.

Just watch out for the moccasins and gators when the weather warms up. ;)

As I’ve said before I sure do appreciate the woods in your pictures. Mostly the pics I see that folks post and ground level shots showing the tree’s but not the woods completely. But if you look at your second pic the reflection in the creek shows the trees completely and I really like that shot. Enjoy your path and the peacefulness of your woods. That is, until you start shooting but that too is music to our ears. :)

Looking good. Don't forget the fire pit near the table area. That way you can sit back roast a wienie and enjoy the sounds of the creek. ;)

I have a couple of those old park type steel sided benches that neighbors threw away and just need new wood slats. Might fit well along there sitting on a base of pavers. Pop cans on other side with one of the .22's with CCI Quiets on a lazy afternoon!

I would post a photo of my creek but would have to slog through a foot and a half of snow to get to it. It was completely frozen over during our recent cold snap, should be quite a torrent this Spring depending on how fast the snow melts.

Do you have a trail camera you could setup? Might get some great winter shots.

No trail camera. I 'll try to get down and take a few shots, maybe take my 7D down, it's been a while since I've used it. With the quality of the new smart phone cameras I tend to just use it a lot of the time.
