Jr. had some GOOD runs at Talladega. That was when NASCAR was sooo watchable.

That was his 4th win in a row at that track. It was a record at the time. Not sure if it ever got broken.

I grew up in Daytona Beach. Think I went to one race.

My high school was a stone's throw away from the eastern end of the track.

Man, what a young Joy, McReyonalds and Waltrip. Yes, those were the days and I’m sure I watched this race live as I watched every race back in those days.

Yeahup '03 I probably watched it also, as I was a Big fan back in the day.
Went to 3 races there, was there when Sr. won his last race there,
which turned out to be his last period.

Yeah, the old days are sure gone. Although too political to talk about it here, Nascar got 2 more black eyes last week. As if things weren't bad enough. It's almost like they are trying to make it fail. I'm still in boycott mode. Will not support Nascar in any way, shape or form, including not even clicking on anything Nascar. Although last year I still watched most of the races that I could receive, most of the time. Seeing I have an Antenna only, Nascar does not know I'm watching it. Although this year may be different. I've been saying I'm still a fan of most of the Drivers, most of the Tracks and the Racing itself, but I'm just about holding on. My interest in the whole thing is dis-appearing.
