I've always sniffed the milk before I drink it. The carton, the glass they sit on the table in restaurant, the little silver thing at the table you pour in your coffee. "Why do you do that?" People always ask.

"Ever take a huge gulp of sour milk?"

At a friend's house for dinner once, and they sat the quart of milk beside the coffee mug. I took my sniff, and ugggghh. My buddy jumped in his car and ran up to the corner stop and rob for a new quart. He plopped it on the counter and I opened it up and took a sniff. :o "Really?" He asked.

I put the unused quart in front of him.
"No way!"
Yup.

I signal to exit a roundabout, I don’t think I have seen but a few other drivers do that, ever. I do think this is taught in driver’s ed. OTH, most people don’t signal the rest of the time either.

And yes, I sniff milk too.

I don't even drink milk anymore, but used to do the same thing before I would ingest it.
On the blinker thing; not many even use them anymore. A lot of them that do only put it on right as they're turning, as though it is required to make the vehicle turn.
The blinker is a signal to others of your intentions. To use it, is being safe and courteous.

When drinking out of any Plastic bottle, I open the cap then wipe the top of the bottle off.
Sometimes there's plastic splinters left on the opening. You don want to get a plastic splinter in your lip...

I also like to smell antique books, only real book lovers understand this.

I signal even if I'm alone on the road at two a.m.. It was drilled into me in driver's ed, then really reinforced in the Corps. On most of the bases where I served in the late 70s / through the 80s - failure to signal, come to a complete stop, two over the speed limit... Um - failure to obey traffic rules and regs, would get you stopped and cited. Multiple citations, you could lose base driving priviledges. Notice I said priviledges, not rights. They always made sure to remind you it was a privilege to drive on base and not a right. :D

Absolutely!. It is such a shame what has become of society these days. When I was young, you would get a ticket for not using a blinker. Imagine that!
There are very little " rules of the road " that are enforced anymore. Can't really blame law enforcement though...that's a whole other subject.

Our local paper used to have a police and court blotter, listed everything. I remember getting a speeding ticket once when my mom was out of town. Thought I'd get away with her not knowing about it but a friend of hers told her about it and I lost my driving privileges for a couple of weeks. Now they only report serious crimes.

I don't see much traffic law enforcement here anymore either. They do seem to enforce things like speeding and DUI, but pretty much ignore stuff like turn signal use or tailgating.

Before I open a cold can of beer or soda pop, I snap the pull tab 3 times before opening it on the 4th pull. This is supposed to defuse a shaken up can from becoming a volcano if opened on the first pull. It seems to work....care to try :?:
