Re: how to post photos
To add some detail.
After clicking on ATTACHMENTS
Click on ADD FILES
Then a window will open. Go to the folder on your computer and click on the photo you want, then hit OPEN.
Underneath ADD FILES a box should open with the name of the picture file. It will take a few moments for the file to load. When it is done loading it will give you the option of PLACE INLINE and DELETE FILE. Click on PLACE INLINE, and you will get the code in your post. It will have ATTACHMENT in brackets on either end and the name of file in it. When you preview the post, the photo should be visible. If the photo is not in the place you want in the post, just cut and paste the entire line where you want it.
Not sure if the forum software will downsize a too large file. I always run them through an editing software and size them to either 600 for the long side if I want a smaller photo, or 1000 for a larger. The one I posted is the larger version. I would imagine the forum would balk at files over a megabyte. I try and keep them under 500KB. JPEGs are generally much smaller files than something like TIFs and others.
