Our VFW Post always sells poppies at our local Fleet Farm, (the man's mall), and we take in a lot of
money, so today I will be there not asking for donations, but saying thank you to all who contributed.
We have a display set up stating our thanks and one of us will man it all day.
BTW, we took in about $30,000.00 in a week of selling poppies. The money all goes to help vets.

I manned the site till noon when another vet relieved me and I went to lunch with my wife.
It was a good experience. We were not looking for donations, but folks came up reaching for
their wallet all morning and I would have to explain that we weren't taking money, only expressing
our thanks to the community. It was a pleasant experience.
