Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Ahhh, I enjoy this thread as I was not able to partake these joys during the last ten years as a CDL holder. Now I'm retired...so I'm allowed.... just finished a Crown Royal Vanilla on the rocks.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
What’s the deal with that? I’m a CDL holder and can “partake” all I want. Was it a company policy? Unless you had the glory job of hauling for HRA I’d be telling “the man” that if I want to have an adult beverage on my own time, I will.
Glad you are released from the shackles though!

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
CDL allows zero tolerance when it comes to blood alcohol levels. As early as I used to have to be on the road in the morning, I erred on the safe side if I had a late night beverage. Especially Monday mornings after watching football all afternoon with friends.
Probably would have always tested negative, however, I wanted to be sure I was clear headed and clean before getting in the big truck....simply put, I was just being ultra cautious. Not just for myself, but for everyone else on the road.

That is a good way to go! One would hope all big rig drivers are sober! Too bad that’s not the case...

Real windy this afternoon. In a power outage. A small fir branch down the road got across the wires.
Sigh. Good time to see if the generator still works.
Gosh, it does!

Well, in this distant land, I am enjoying San Miguel Pale beer! I've been offered some sort of brandy, but, I'm sticking with the SM. Excellent beer. All of it! Back to realty on Mar 4th. Can't wait to shoot my rifles again.

Had 2 drafts with a burger and back to the homestead. The roads are in such bad shape that dodging all the potholes everyone appears to be driving under the influence.

That's funny Ernie, the driving, not the darned pot holes.
Tried posting a pic of the drink but couldn't get the forum to let me.

Roads here are BAD. Have to air up the tires on the cars once a week and it is too dangerous for ME to ride the motorcycle.
