Carol had a really nice visit with her sister Celeste. Dinner last night and now tonight she came to the campground and I did steaks on the Blackstone along with bake potato and a nice salad. Then I built a nice camp fire and they sat and visited a laughed about old times until the fire burned out and it got cold.

Now Carol is doing the dishes and I'm enjoying a martini. Well deserved I might add.

On the road again in the morning. This time we're heading for home. Should be home by Saturday.

Cambridge, Ohio and we're set up for the night. I have a Maker's Mark with a chaser, the wife is washing clothes and the cat is asleep. All is good for the night. :D

Well, it was a really short day. We were in camp by 2PM and made a Post Office run for Carol.
I'm settled in with a New Amsterdam Martini and watching Laura Ingraham.

I want to get an early start tomorrow and we are going to try one of those new Love's Truck Stop RV Parks in Illinois
tomorrow evening.

https://www.camplife.com/campground/Loves+RV+Stops
We'll be at Normal, Il. for the night.

This should be interesting. It's a new concept they're trying out and should
be good for overnight stays.

The next night we plan to be at home.

Had a golf outing yesterday and after the round enjoyed a nice cold Mac & Jacks in the clubhouse. Got home and enjoyed the patio on the warmest day of the year. This was a dog approved event.

Love's Travel Stop RV Resort, Normal, Il.
57°F, cloudy and a little windy but the place is neat and clean
and very secure. It is a far walk to any food though.
Maker's Mark and water, dinner soon, stuffed cabbage I think.

I don't know why the time shows 3:26 when it's really 4:26 though.

I find the Love's that I stopped at to be very clean. It seems to have a lot of things inside too. I'll have to look for the RV area next time I pass by.
I just poured a Benchmark and water. I found it recently at my usual store. It's from the Buffalo Trace Distillary. So far I like it.

I hope you all have a great evening.

Went to Port Aransas yesterday afternoon after losing some money at the grocery store. I did keep enough back to have a couple of beers. 16 oz draws of Landshark beer for 2.00 at a place called Beach Bums. Had a couple while visiting with friends

I like a basic Bushmills white label. I’ve had Black Bush and Bushmills single malt too, but I still prefer the lowly version.

I’m having a couple of Warsteiners this evening. Watching a little “Expedition Bigfoot” for the comic relief🤣

Just getting home from the grandson's ballgame, I believe I'll have a Black and Tan before I hit the hay.
