The Adult Evening Beverage
Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Wonderful purchases, Dutch! I haven't been to a library's used book sale for ages....always came home with a good read(s) when I did go.
The winter evening by the fireplace sounds particularly inviting. Glad you're ready for a cold night, warm fire, and interesting book. Actually, a nice "evening beverage" fits into that scene perfectly!
Thanks for sharing about the reading ahead!

I've had a few adult beverages tonight. Capping the night off with a little Irish whisky. Talk later everyone...

After a day at the range with my Henry BBS Carbine shooting 180 grain HSM Bear Loads, it was time to refresh with a Henry Hard Soda or six.

Beautiful cool fall day here. Enjoyed a nice ride this morning in the hills, and we have a roast beef cooking for supper tonight. Then tea time and watch Westworld on HBO.

Kettle's on for tea as usual. Cool days here and frosty nights. Received a call from a rancher buddy of mine and sounds like cattle work is ramping up in the next few weeks. Lots of saddle time coming up!

I've tried to work in more exercise and fewer adult beverages into my week. So far so good.

It sure is a ton of fun. Always gets some looks at the range too. I'm pretty happy with it!JCN wrote:I've tried to work in more exercise and fewer adult beverages into my week. So far so good.

Darn. I was just looking at my Cabela's order history. Cabela's ends up with an alarming amount of money from me every month.

Relaxing with tea in the Henry mug this evening. Tomorrow will spend the day sorting cow/calf pairs and shipping. Weather is in the 60's for the weekend, perfect for working outdoors.

Sitting here with a Bud Light watching Silverado. It repeats again on the Outdoor Channel at 10:30 eastern time. I have seen it before but I could never seem to see the whole movie without some kind of interruption so I plan to watch it tonight. Lots of neat firearms in the movie and a great storyline.

Dutch I just finished watching it. Again, never gets old. My beer this evening was a Stone Xocoveza. A great stout with a ton of flavor.

I'm enjoying a Canadian Whiskey tonight. We celebrated my birthday, her birthday, and her son's girlfriend completing her masters degree. We had lobster, Delmonico steaks, and the best part was the stepsons just harvested backstraps from the buck he got the other day. Mmmmmm. It was a nice night.

One of my favorites (as you can see, I use a pic of Emmet with a Henry from the movie as my picture).Deadwood Dutch wrote:Sitting here with a Bud Light watching Silverado.
