My Washington State Cougs tried hard to give the game away to Stanford but with the help of my yelling foul language at the TV they came back from pissing away a two score lead and won. Of course I had to endure my wife and pup’s wrath at my childish behavior but hey, anything I can do to help, right?

looking forward to some good games today .... not the least of which will be NC State at Miami kicking off at 7:30 this evening .... at about the same time Tennessee will be in a tough one at Alabama .... the afternoon game between Clemson and Pittsburgh should be worth watching .... next up for my Western Carolina University Catamounts is visiting the Citadel Bulldogs where I have no doubt that our guys will give a good account of themselves as they maintain their perfect 0-6 record

Just finished watching Illinois beat Penn State which is always a good thing for me. 9 overtimes I wonder if that is a record.

Caught the last 1 1/2 quarters of the Va. Tech game and missed opportunities for points cost them another game.....down in the cellar they fall!

Oh well .... my WCU Catamounts blew their perfect 0 - 6 record by beating the Citadel Bulldogs 45 - 31 .... it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back on track next week against the Wofford Terriers ...

My WSU Cougs “couged” it again. Their normally very accurate QB either overthrew or underthrew his receivers all day. The same defender (BYU) dropped 2-3 passes that should have been interceptions. Our QB seemed to pick him as his target instead of our guy. Don’t know if the coach firing was in his head or what but he really was off.

The Eastern Eagles (local Div II team) also was off the mark losing to a very good Weber (Salt Lake) team. The Eags had a chance to win it at the end of the game but they “couged” it too with a turnover.

The state of Utah sure owned Eastern Washington State yesterday.

looks like another interesting weekend on the gridiron .... from our area NC State, Univ of NC, and Duke all have televised games .... my 1 - 6 Western Carolina Univ Catamounts are up against the 1 - 6 Wofford Terriers ---- should be one heck of a game ..

Yeah, last week I did my best to help out as it was a close game. However, today probably will be a blow-out so I’ll just sit in my chair and pout!

Western NC Univ continued its winning streak to two games in a row .. .. next up Furman Paladins .... Clemson and Florida State are slugging it out .... the #13 Deamon Deacon Deacons are whooooping the Blue Devils

Surprise, surprise, surprise…..my Cougs put a whuppin’ on those ASU Sundevils. ASU had a horrible game with at last count anyway five turnovers to the Cougs. It was a crazy game but very fun to watch. WSU defense played very well.

NC State moved its season record to 6-2 getting by the Louisville Cardinals 28-13 .... it was close through the third quarter but the Cardinals made some mistakes and the game got away from them in the 4th quarter

UNC and Duke are both behind at the half but there isn't anything new about that .... my Western Carolina Catamounts are not behind at this point but that could largely be because their game doesn't start for another 5 minutes .. ..several good games on tap or today

Watching Army vs Air Force, I love watching the service academy football games

UNC knocked off unbeaten Wake Forest .... doubt many folks picked that one

switched over to Notre Dame vs Navy .... Navy scored first ... right now 3-0

Watched the UNC game also and man what a game...total upset! In the last minute of the game the excitement was so much our CATV box quit and had to reboot!!! Never saw that happen before when the power did not go out. Me and the wife had to rush into the kitchen and turn on that TV which
runs off the outside antenna!!!!

NC State and UNC won today .... Duke got killed (again) ....my Western Carolina University dominated the Furman Paladins in an epic defensive struggle by a score of 43-42

My alma mater, TCU, finally came to life today and beat Baylor.

The 5th ranked Eastern Washington Eagles lost yesterday to the 4th Ranked Montana State Bobcats. Lost by 3 but in my opinion that game wasn’t that close. The Eags were outplayed by the Bobcats for most of the game, the cats had a running back who just couldn’t be stopped. Very impressive young man who will hopefully get a look from the NFL scouts. Not a lot of interest at this level but these Division II teams use a playoff system that I’m sure the scouts pay a lot of attention to.
