Tornado warning last night just south of Madison where I’m staying. It touched down about three miles away in a rural area and didn’t do much damage.

Wow, too close for comfort for sure. Sure happy there wasn’t much damage.

Not so fortunate here. Tuesday’s wildfire did burn into the large housing development and so far 15 homes have been destroyed and one life lost. Apparently according to relatives this person refused to evacuate and was reported missing. Sadly human remains were found in the home of the missing person. It looks like the firefighters have the fire under control and with the calmer but hot weather expected today and tomorrow this should continue to be the case. Saturday brings another windy day but not the level as Tuesday.

52 this morning and I just opened up some windows. It stayed pretty warm inside last night. Low to mid 80’s today and upper 80’s tomorrow. Today I’m pulling the boat out of the shop to prep for tomorrow’s trip to the lake. I’ll run the motors and do a general cleanup and check the supplies that are stored in it. Trailer lights, bearings and tire pressure too.

Sad. I know exactly where that fire is. Over the decades I’ve seen or heard of many fires in the county.
