Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I’m still snowed in and have to snowshoe the 300 yards down to the road where the van is parked. Glad I don’t have to lug groceries up the hill. I stocked up before the storm hit.
This is where I gave up trying to dig my way out.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
33 at 9AM under a mostly clear sky with a few scattered high clouds .... forecasted high 49 falling back to an overnight low of 29 .... no rain today .... a warming trend with some rain is said to be on the way for this weekend .... this time of year significant swings in the weather patterns that move through our area are very common .... I'm looking forward to the time when spring weather takes control and stays around for a while .... only thing I know of that will take us away from home today is a grocery run to Walmart

Were you losing traction? Maybe consider getting chains for the rear wheels, I have them on my Cub Cadet and it can handle quite a bit of snow although not nearly that much. When we had our big snowfall a few years ago I could plow about 10 feet and then had to get off and clear the snow in front of the blade, then do another 10 feet. Once I made one complete pass I could take a much smaller bite. It took a long time and I have a much, much shorter driveway.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 9:51 amI’m still snowed in and have to snowshoe the 300 yards down to the road where the van is parked. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I’m not stuck or wasn’t at the time. I can usually get out by using the bucket as a pushing force backwards by rotating the bucket. Time is my friend here and all I have to do is wait a few days. Highs are in the 40’s and 50’s and lows near and above freezing.dave77 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 3:04 pmWere you losing traction? Man, that’s a lot of snow.
No snow here and it’s currently 49 and overcast. Supposed to be cloudy but warm and dry today. Played golf yesterday in Spokane and the weather was great. Might get out and clean up pine cones, needles and broken limbs from the wind storm we had several days ago. Would have done it sooner but right after the wind we got serval inches of snow covering up the mess.
Our older dog goes to the vet today. He had a split on a paw pad a month ago and is starting to limp a little bit on that leg. Hopefully nothing serious

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
busy morning, had to get Maureen to the other side of Raleigh for medical testing .... never a good drive but always a frustrating one during rush hour .... 50 at 11:30AM .... forecasted high 60 followed by an overnight low of 39 .... calling for a high of 82 day after tomorrow .... just returned home from taking our daughter's truck in for it annual safety inspection .... next up, getting our 10 year old grandson to the first practice of his summer baseball team
