My thrill today is taking my Outback into the dealership for warranty service on the transmission. I’ll be driving on two inches of slush.

36' and rained overnight. Not raining at the moment. No snow, but the snow drops are up. So Spring is coming. Maybe 45' with rain later today. Looks like plenty of rain coming over the next 7 days.

A mile winter day so far with a morning temp of 26 and a half inch of new snow. We have a storm warning for 1-4” later today but at 36 currently that’s doubtful. Lows in the upper teens to low 20’s expected for the next few days.

Sitting here waiting for a guy to arrive to replace the module in my newly purchased powered La Z boy recliner. Works fine except the home button which is supposed to return all functions to the upright position. On mine it’s the opposite, the home button lays the chair out. It took four calls to the dealer with the last one to the factory to get any glimmer of support. The owner of the store is due here this morning between 9:00 and 12:00 and it’s currently 11:18 and no arrival yet. I’m not too hopeful as so far the after sale support has been horrible. This is a store in Coeur d’alene Idaho that has been in business for decades.

ETA: shortly after typing this the tech showed up. Also, to my  the chair did malfunction when I first showed it to the tech and then it started working properly. WTH  2 months of not working properly and when the tech is here, presto. I congratulated him on his ability to repair it without touching it. Smartly while he is here with the replacement part he is installing it anyway.

We bought two mechanical recliner/swivels from LazyBoy a couple of years ago or so. Neither would stay up recline position. Tech from Layboy came out and adjusted the spring tension setting or something. He wasn't happy that the chairs left the factory non-functional.

I just purchased a new Lazy Boy but chose to go with the manually operated version, for these very reasons. If it doesn't work, that means I'm not working. 🤔

If it's not properly adjusted at the factory, the mechanical ones don't work. That was our situation.

I don't think it's that way on all recliners but one I had long ago almost killed my cat. There were 2 boards that came together when you reclined, first recliner position left a several inch gap between them, all the way reclined they passed each other and left no gap. If I hadn't heard him squalling before I reclined all the way back he would have been dead. Got rid of it, did have a couch with recliners on both ends but I checked that it was a different design, was also more difficult for a cat to get under.
