And while I'm at this rant, I think the abolishment of the draft was a mistake.
I would like to see all the street animals run head on into a good drill instructor.
I think that in most cases the military helped shape our country in a positive way.
The old CCC was a good start, but nothing like the military.

Hey CooperHawk, From what I understand, those days are in the past. Nowadays, recruits are giving a stress card. If they feel stress, they pull out their card. I just wonder how well that will work when someone is shooting at them?

But, I agree. The military may be able to bring more cohesion throughout the Country.

Both able bodied men and women after high school should receive military training. To learn respect, develop discipline and proper use/care of firearms.

I've got a 25yo that is just finishing a Masters in Education as a first year teacher. 1st yr pay is pretty dismal considering the cost of education required to get this job. Our 22yo is a Senior at a major state school majoring in veterinary pharmaceutical research, authoring 2 research studies currently looking for a graduate program to continue on for a doctorate.

I'm just a dumb union construction/labor. A hard hat and a blue collar.
