Amazon delivered the oil and filter yesterday and I changed it this morning on my truck. Wife's Ford Edge up next. While I was at the upper priced Advance Auto dumping my old oil I glanced at what Die Hard car batteries were selling for. How bout 215-245 bucks! And the battery today no better than they were 50 years ago!

Check out You tube channel Project Farm. Guy has a huge following. Probably one of the best channels on Youtube. You might be surprised at battery ratings

I change the oil and filter on my GMC 3500 dually, use Amsoil Signature synthetic oil and Amsoil oil filter, change it and grease it every fall just before I put him away for the winter. On our 2023 Subaru Outback XT I installed a Fumoto drain valve and am using Amsoil XL oil and Wix XP oil filters. Nothing against our GMC/Subaru dealer it’s just more convenient changing the oil on my schedule. In NYS if you sell motor oil you have to accept used motor oil.

Not sure how today's batteries compare with those from my youth, but I do know that today's vehicles definitely demand more from a battery than they did on my 65 Mustang. Parasitic draw alone when the car is parked will drain a battery in short order. Lots of electrical stuff is still on when the car is off and the key is sitting on the foyer table.
