Spring Forward/Fall Back
Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
Ya whatever happened to the simple flip phones. If you want one now its got all the smart phone features in it. Leave the clocks alone set them one way or the other this changing the clock twice a year is stupid.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
Washington state (and I think Oregon and California) has passed legislation to stay on DST permanently but have to wait for Congress or the Secretary of Transportation to approve it.
I'm all for it since I'm not an early riser but can see disadvantages for early workers and kids walking to school in the dark (but they could easily change start times).

so far, no trouble getting used to the time change .... guess that is one of the perks of being retired, I haven't paid much attention to it ..

Like-wise. Doesn't bother me.
If I had my druthers though, I do prefer that it stay light later.

The sun rises and sits on its own schedule. I find it odd that man tries to change that instead of accepting nature.

I'll just be Happy to see Spring.
The older I get the more I dislike the cold.
Other than deer season, it could be 65+ every DAY.
Really 75+, perfect scooter ridin weather.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
Washington and several other western states have already approved going to permanent DST, still waiting for Congress to approve it. Being retired it doesn't really matter to me. My only issue with it is in the Winter you have kids walking or catching the bus to school in the dark but I guess it would be easy enough to change school start times.
It's all just juggling numbers anyway, there are still the same number of light and dark hours every day no matter what the clock says.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
Well I've been sprung forward actually last night. Went to bed around 11 PM and set the clocks to 12 so lost that hour of sleep quick!
This morning I delay the morning walk to let the temp get up since Mother Nature didn't spring forward.
