I'm spending the heat wave cleaning up my shop. I had a rouge mouse get
in and it caused a lot of damage. I caught the little bugger but now i have
to clean up after it.

Lately I have been experiencing a lot of leg pain at night and it has been
really hard to sleep. I've been doctoring but so far that hasn't helped. Then
I remembered that a number of years ago I had to quit taking some statin drugs
because of the side effects of leg pain. Well, guess what, I was still taking a statin
called Tricor. I quit taking it on Monday and by Wednesday the pain was gone.
I'm now sleeping the whole night through.
(Well, except to go pee once in the middle of the night).

60 earlier when I got up with a high of 87 predicted. Then mid 90’s next week, yuk. It’s been very smoky the last couple of days but this morning the skies are clear. Nice shift in the wind helped.

No big plans for today other than watching the Open golf championship from England. Nice with the time zones the tv coverage is on when I get up. Today it will be done by noon. Then we’re running into Spokane to pick up an RX for my wife. Something tells me that while in town she will have other stops planned.

Glad you are sleeping coop. Another day of thick smoke here in paradise. At least the motor home is comfortable. In some ways it better than the house. The biggest problem now days is I have to wear a mask to go outside. The good news is the mask really works agains smoke and while wearing I can’t smell anything.

A cooler 55 this morning with sunny smoke free skies. Yesterday the wind shifted as the weatherman said it would sending the smoke to the south of us. Sorry for those folks but happy for me. High will probably be on the low 90’s with mid to upper 90’s thru Thursday. A bit cooler for next weekend.

There was a thunderstorm that moved thru to the west of me moving south to north right up the Columbia River. Yesterday there were probably a dozen fire starts but thankfully all were kept small. Nothing growing big so far.

Another morning riding the recliner watching the golf from England. It will be over around noon so I will find the soles of my feet and do something.

58 and smoky this morning. High later around 90 depending on how much sun gets thru the smoke. Winds are shifting bring the smoke back to my place but are expected to shift tomorrow back to a northerly flow which will direct the smoke away from me. Hot week ahead but cooling down by the weekend.

I just tried to take a picture of the bright red sun rising thru the trees but it’s mostly a red blur.

Heading to the golf course today for some smoky golf. Back to walking today.

75 (RealFeel 88) @ 8:45AM with a forecasted high of 86, followed by an overnight low of 71 .... as has become pretty much the norm calls for, "heavy thunderstorm this afternoon; thunderstorms can bring flash flooding and localized damaging wind gusts" continue to dominate our forecast .... for the last few days, we've heard thunder and seen flashes with lightening .... unfortunately, accompanying rain has fallen all around us but not right here .... only thing on my calendar for today is a followup medical appointment

We got back from the Mayo Clinic a little while ago and I have to say that it is an amazing place. There is a lot of construction and getting parked is no problem, but you have to walk a long way underground to get to the Mayo.

Once there you will find a lobby with a baby grand piano and today a very young man was playing very nice music. It's volunteers and most are extremely good.

I was on the 16th floor of the Gonda building and you can look out over the city and it's almost breathtaking. They always call you in at the exact time of your appointment. In the meantime I like to sit and observe the patients as they come and go. There are folks from all over the world.

The Docs, (there were two of them as usual), found more than half a dozen areas of concern for skin cancer and got out their might freeze gun and did away with them. We hope. I have to come back later to have them reassessed.

The whole area around the Clinic is a maze of underground walkways which contain restaurants, fast food, high end stores, ect. It's fun to just explore when you have time.

Where is all the smoke and fires that were to burn till the snow came? Seems like another news frenzy that went away. Right now the air is clearer than normal and the area that was producing the smoke is gone.

Sir Henry, glad the smoke is gone for now. Here it’s a bit smoky but not as bad as it can be at times.

A warm start to the day at 67. Had some clouds pass by overnight keeping the temps up. High is suppose to be 94 but if the smoke and clouds stick around that won’t happen. Looks like Spokane itself is going to have a higher rating for smoke than here at my place only 15 miles away. Hot continues for the week with winds coming back towards the weekend. We do have two substantial fires burning in the area with one nearly surrounding a town. That’s a scary one.

Not much going on today other than taking the dogs to daycare for the morning and a quick trip across the parking lot to the groomers this afternoon. Nice they will be at the groomers which has A/C unlike the daycare which doesn’t.

sometime after midnight we got a bit over 2.5" of most welcome rain .... its already all soaked in, no puddles remaining .... 89 @ 1PM with a RealFeel of 102 .... forecasted high 95 followed by an overnight low of 76 .... as has become pretty much part of all recent forecast, "a thunderstorm in the area late in the afternoon; storms can bring flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts" .... first up this morning, Maureen had a physical therapy appointment .... next up, later this afternoon picking up one of our grandsons at his school and getting him to a medical appointment .... sure does seem like medical appointments make up a considerable part of our social life ....
