Well I found a great deal on a little used New Model Blackhawk with 7 1/2 barrel in 45 Colt. I had been searching for one to go along with my Henry rifles in 45 Colt to shoot hotter loads the Henry could shoot. Found one early last month and the price was $ 539.00 which I thought was great on a revolver that was only a year old. So I get it and it all checks out great nice blue and with the plain black plastic Ruger grips. I go to shoot it and got mostly all misfires on three cylinder loads even using different ammo and showing very light primer strikes. What a bummer and no wonder the price was right! So I called Ruger CS and they said no problem and sent me a shipping label and off it went about 2 1/2 weeks ago.
Got it back yesterday and I was blown away when I opened the nice Ruger cardboard box. I had to check for the serial number to make sure it was the same revolver as bluing was perfect and new Ruger premium wood grips were on it too!

. Looked at the invoice and they had replaced the firing pin and other action parts inside plus reblued the revolver and polished up the hammer! The grips look great and really go well with the wood on my Henry carbine. The factory black grips were returned in the box too.
Yes I give Ruger Customer Service a AAA+ on this repair and it was FREE! Oh and as you see it shoots darn well too!
