35 and rainy this morning. Rained most of the night but just a light rain. Cool today with colder temps coming in later this week and maybe some snow. At least in the mountains. The rain coming down now is snow in the mountains and the ski resorts are loving it.

Not much planned for the day other than celebrating Valentine’s Day of course.

This morning 36' and foggy. Rain overnight wet down the open areas - dry spots under the trees. 47' later today. More rain the next two days with maybe some sun on Sunday. Forecast for heavy snow in the Cascades and Sierra Nevada Mtns early next week. Might get some on the valley floor here. Looks like our fakeout Spring is over.

61 at 4PM on Feb 14 under a beautiful Carolina Blue Sky .... they say 61 will end up being our high for today, tonight is supposed to fall back to 42 for today's low .... during months we don't camp, our camping club usually schedules an evening meal meeting .... with it being Valentines we decided to gather at the local Cracker Barrel at 11AM for a late breakfast/early lunch .... we figured it would be a crowded as it would be later in the day .... boy oh boy did we get that one wrong ..... their parking lot was all but full when we got there and we were told it would be an hour and a half to two hour wait ..... the parking at the Smithfield Chicken and BBQ across the street so we got back in our vehicles and drove across the highway .... sometimes things happen to work out for the best
