My uptown travel case........

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Aug 20, 2024 7:31 pm

Well it all started from a cheap craft store wooden case to keep all the Pepper Shooter accessories together. Of course I got carried away but I might take in a card game during my travels! :D

Everything you might need... a loaded 36 cal.BP revolver.... loading tools and extra paper cased cartridges....nice custom holster... and of course good deck of Faro cards and a bit of cash. Holster for the 1851 Pepperbox was custom made by a West coast cowboy action shooter. He had an extra one and sent it to me!
Also I made up another loading block for the cylinder that will start the ball in all chambers at once and then you take the hand rod and push them all the way to seat. Works great and fits in bottom of case.

Wow! Nice job there. So now it looks like you and Vaquero are competing.
It takes some talent to do that. :D

Looking Good!
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Awesome, Wild Bill would be proud. Looks like a high stakes game you’re looking for. Love the padlock.

Well done! :D

Thanks! Was as much fun making the case as it is shooting the little hand cannon! Used materials I had laying around the shop and even my old belt for the carry strap. I ordered a paper cartridge kit from Guns of the West to make those 36 cal. cartridges and it doesn't take much time to make up a bunch and a quick clean reload too. They sent me the 6 round block with paper sleeve to put 6 rounds in but figured that sleeve would not last long so I made up a wood box that the block slides into. Wife likes it too and wanted to know where all that green came from! :?
