Love it. I have it on while doing other things. That is what is great about radio -you don’t have to sit and watch it.

I’m mostly a talk radio guy (sports and news) but lately I’ve been listening to Classic Vinyl on Sirius. I learned that the Aerosmith song Walk This Way was titled that because the writer had just seen the movie Young Frankenstein. He so enjoyed Marty Feldman’s character telling guests to “walk this way” and then doing a crazy shuffle walk that he decided the song would be called Walk This Way even before the lyrics had been written. Fun stuff.

Listened to KLIF when I was stationed at the long defunct Ft. Wolters, Texas back in 68-70.

I’ve thought about satellite radio but it doesn’t get the bandwidth of a good FM radio signal. A lot of FM stations are now HD which is even better than what we got in the 70’s. Satellite is like listening to MP3.

In my high school years I would listen to local WSSV 1240 AM which played the Top 40 hits and we would send in dedications to be read off for certain songs. WLEE was a big one in Richmond as well as the big WRVA 50k station. My brother worked part time at WSSV and WRVA as a transmitter engineer which they were required to have.,,,he had his 1st Class FCC license which was required. Used to go with him sometimes on Friday evenings up to the studios to hang out with the DJ's. Fun times.
