What goes around does indeed come back around!

Called Taylors and Co. to ask if they knew how to find the date code of build on the Uberti 1873 rifles since I have had no luck finding the two letter code anyplace without taking it apart. The tech guy said "give me the serial number and will see what comes up'.

Now remember I bought this rifle from a Cabela's in Fort Worth Texas back in mid December.

So he looks it up and says " Oh yeah we sold that rifle from our shop in June 2012", How about that it was sold in Va. made a long journey around and I brought it back home! What goes around comes around back....sometimes! Great folks at Taylors & Company!

From what I have read the 44 Magnum 1873 Carbine first came out in 2012.

Interesting. So, the rifle has been setting for about 9 years? I buy my Henry in 2017. Yet, it has a born date of 2015. I was surprised that it had set that long. I think that it may have set for about 2 hours from the time I saw it until the time I said, "I will take it." That is about how much time it took me to run an errand and figure out that I left a nice rifle setting in a rack. Nonetheless, nice looking rifle!

Oh. Okay. My H009 was sold as new. Hopefully, I will be able to pass it on to a grandkid.
