If you use a Hornady LNL press with case feeder . . . .

I use two presses, either a Redding Turret or Hornady LNL progressive press depending on the caliber I am loading.

My Hornady has an auto case feeder that has continually been problematic, especially with .38/.357 and 9mm cases. It will feed six or so just fine, the all of a sudden it starts feeding two or three cases stacked on top of each other, or jams.

I have tried every trick, tweak, tune up that I could find on the internet and YouTube. Some improvement but still getting double feeds.

On YouTube, I ran across 3d Design who makes caliber specific bushings for the Hornady case feeder. I was skeptical as a set cost only $11.00.

I thought "Nothing to lose" and jumped in. Customer service (Daniel the owner) was first class, shipping was quick. The set includes 40, 45, 38/357, 9mm, 380 bushings.

As soon as I got them, I threw in the .38 bushing and ran 200 cases through the feeder without a single double feed or mishap. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Nice. I have a LNL, but no auto-case feeder. But I've thought about upgrading. I will keep this in mind.

I jumped into the case feeder because my fingers were getting cramped on the Redding turret press when I was loading more than 100 rounds. I also added the double alpha Mr. bullet feeder as well for the same reason.

I haven't had any issues with cramping, but I have noticed my dexterity is not the same. When priming cases on my single stage press, I always just picked up primers from the tray. Last few sessions, I've managed to drop several primer while moving them from the tray to the priming arm. Hmmm never had that problem before. Fortunately I don't do a lot of loading on that press any more with two progressive presses. Handling cases and bullet heads haven't presented any problems --- so far.
