Seems I've found something a little rare.(little update)

Hey CH, like you said hard to tell from the photo, but it does appear to be. Great find.
Compare it to my pic., or google Lion's main for some other pics.
If so, all I can say is it will be Delicious.

I'll never know. First, it's in a wildlife management area, so I doubt I can legally harvest it. I know, chance of getting caught, much less ticketed, as close to zero as you can get. Second, I don't know mushrooms, so there is no way I'm eating a wild mushroom that I harvested without a trained professional looking over my shoulder.

It did, however, catch my attention on the way back to the truck this afternoon, so I had to take a picture. Just wish I'd had a real camera with me.

CH, those things don't even taste like a schroon, sauteed in butter, it taste like some kind of seafood.
A guy on another gun forum I'm a member of also found one today. Not nearly as large as the one I found last week.
