Threaded Ruger 22/45 Mk IV

I picked up my suppressor today. I only have one threaded rifle which is a Ruger 10/22 tactical with an underfolder stock and red dot. It’s one of my least favorite to shoot and it really doesn’t need a can on it. Plus it already has a flash hider on it.
So when I picked up the can I also bought this threaded pistol. I knew what I wanted so it didn’t take long. The whole process of finishing the paperwork on the suppressor and starting on the pistol only took 20 minutes. And that included the time getting out of the car and back in.

Maybe try one of the many aftermarket stocks for your 1022. There really are dozens of different styles to choose from, and you might just find it turning into a favorite with that change.
And I've heard good things about the CCI Suppressor ammo. That and the "clean" ammo, same 45 grain bullet with the same muzzle velocity (may be the same ammo). Let us know how it works for you.

Here it’s next to my original 22/45 (no mark). The MK IV magazines will fit the 22/45 but the 22/45 magazines won’t fit the MK IV without an updated baseplate.
The internals are totally different but they feel the same in my hand. The suppressor is aluminum and the center of balance is not noticeable different. I removed the picatinny rail as I like the adjustable metal sights.

The under folder is an aftermarket stock. It’s not the stock I dislike it’s the red dot.

Congrats on your suppressor and the new Ruger to use it on. That should be a really nice combination.

I shot almost 200 round through it today and not a single hiccup. I’ll need to clean it before shooting more. I’m told suppressors are difficult to clean when they are really dirty and simple when fairly clean so it’s best to keep them clean.

The 22/45 is actually heavier than the MK IV with the suppressor.

I had an original run 22/45 like that. The one I had wasn't tapped. It was a tac driver. I had it tapped and put a Leupold 2x fine duplex pistol scope on it.
My best group was 10 shots, which you couldn't put a pencil through.
Kids, life, moving, and cash were needed. Put it up for consignment with that target in mind. It sold, but it was a few weeks before I could arrange to pick up the check.
When I did. The shop owner showed me a scanned copy of the new owner's best target yet. His best group was not far larger than mine.
I still think about that 22/45.

I would say mine is about that accurate. It’s the most accurate pistol I have so it got shot a lot.

Mine’s a 22/45 too and is fun and accurate.
I wouldn’t doubt that. Even the MK IV was only $379.

I always thought about adding a MKIV, but never got around to it. I have plenty of 22s and several accurate 22 handguns.
I just couldn't see the need to add another. I am down to looking for guns on the bucket list and trying not to buy anything not on the short list.
(It's hard... but I am trying.)
I really like the looks of the combo.
My MK is a MK 1. It was a gift from a friend. Belonged to his wife's brother, and was passed to her when HE passed. She didn't want it in the house and he passed it to me. He had taken my CCW class. Still came to my range once a month to shoot his Glock 19.

That’s the Luger looking one. Mine is more of a 1911. Hence the 22/45 name. I think they are both great shooters.

Yes Sir,
I am aware of the difference, and I was looking hard at the 22/45 models since I am a big fan of the 1911. I was looking at the MKIV Target version of the Luger style, but just decided I was good for now with the MK I, since I also have the Smith Model 41 for a target pistol. She's a sweetie.

I just changed over three of the 22/45 magazine base pads to the newer MK IV. They were $15.83 for ten and took five minutes for the first and one minute for the second and third. New on the left and old on the right.

This is the difference between the old and new baseplates on the older 22/45. They won’t fit the newer MK IV so no picture.
