Tisas 1911

Anybody have one of the GI versions? Thinking about an el cheapo for a truck gun. YouTube makes them look good, but would like to know from others.

Never owned or shot one but they are well liked by owners on our local gun trader site.

For a truck gun, the Rock Island Armory M1911 GI Standard 45 Auto (ACP) 5in Parkerized Pistol, is considerably cheaper than it's Tisas counterpart.

Yes, the Rock Island is another option. Had one for a while, should have kept it.

I will have a Tisas Tank Commander waiting for me next week when we get home from the desert. 9mm version so that ammo isn’t quite as expensive as 45.

Congrats on the new 1911. Mine is a 9mm too and it’s fun and inexpensive to shoot.
