Re: 1911 Picture Thread
Of course, a trio of full sized Colt 1911’s. First is a Colt Competition National Match in .38 Super, and second is a Colt Delta Elite in .10mm….a hand cannon, and third is a 1978 Colt Service Model ACE in .22LR which was limited to 200 pieces, grips and trigger are by Sid Bell (The Alaskan Silversmith).
I do have several smaller Colt semiautomatics built on the 1911 premise if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Collecting Colts is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side.

Re: 1911 Picture Thread
I like the 1911, and shot them in Competition in the Corps and afterward in the PPC loops while in my Second Career. However, I lean more toward revolvers, both Single Action and Double Action. I have a few Colts in my collection as well.

My Competition 1911 was built by a Smith who was admitted to the American Pistolsmith's Guild, but has sadly passed. Taken way too early by cancer. IT still shoots way better than I can.... A Springfield frame and slide, but everything else is custom.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Re: 1911 Picture Thread
Thank you!
These three are basically for concealed carry. First is a 2013 Colt New Agent in .45ACP, second is a 2023 Colt Defender in .45ACP, and lastly a 2014 Colt Mustang in .380ACP.
