I bought some Marlin left over wood from Numrich's back in 2016 that was used for the run of 1897 Century Limited 22 lever action rifles. It has sat around not getting done while I have been doing projects for friends. Now it is my turn to get some thing done for me. I had the finish sealed and mostly just needed the final coats on it. Right now the fore arm is ready to go on one of the 39A's I have left after selling quite a few off. The stock may need 1 more coat of Tru-oil and should be ready to put together. Will maybe need a little fitting at the tang area. For now I am leaving it shiny finish just because I don't have a gloss finish Marlin. Can always dull the finish later. Here is a few pictures.

That is some fine looking wood and finishing work you're doing bandit. BTW, what's the yellow handled knife there? Thanks.

Last evening I completed the final coat of finish on my Marlin stock and fore arm. It went on so smooth and dried dust free that I may not have to even buff it. I may just give it curing time and put it together and call it good. Applying the finish with a piece of a worn out lint free tee shirt puts the finish on smoother than my rough dry skin fingers can rub it on. From now on my final coats of finish will be put on this way. I hope the tape peels off as well as the fore arm did. It has been taped up for going on two years. Pictures from today.
