3-4 weeks to get the Marlin Carbine finished

Post by bandit1250 » Wed Jan 22, 2020 6:38 pm

The gun shop said 3-4 weeks to have their bluing jobs all buffed and ready. The 39 Carbine is in that batch to be done so I need to get this wood ready to go back on. May have to put several coats of finish on a day next week so it has some curing time before going back together. Didn't use filler on this wood so it takes a little longer to fill the grain. The fore arm is done and letting it cure up to about the day the parts get blued. Here is how it looks so far.

very nice work .... very nice indeed .... I have several several rifles that could use some wood work but that would be a useless effort .... it wouldn't take me long to bang them up again
