Sure is a different description from mine when describing my Henry SGC, which is "smooth-as-butter." ;)
But your slick expression works! BTW, more pics would be welcome.

Sharp-looking 1873. Uberti T&C does put out some fine-looking firearms; and good shooting by you, too!
Enjoy.

Have one with an 18 inch full octagon and really like it. Nice shooting and gun.

Very nice! I have one in .45 Colt and it is a joy to sit back with a box of bullets and plink the day away!

Mine transitions from Octagon to Round just a smidge beyond the end of the forearm. Not that hard to tell if you zoom in on the CCH 1873 at the end of the forearm.

Thanks y’all...you know NCG....you enabled me with that pic of your bevy of ‘73s! The ‘73 is such an iconic historic firearm harping back to a simpler time(at least it seems that way from this vantage point). Reckon as I’ve gotten older the old firearms have become more appealing...just picked my rifle up from the dealer this evening and wanted to shoot it despite the heavy rain...so did that from the wood shed..I will get some more pics and shooting in tomorrow hopefully...

Ok shot it 5x at 45 yards...all good hits on an 8” steel using improvised rest....it shoots where the sights are looking... And here are some more pics with a better camera ...have to run some errands...hope to shoot more this evening afore the rain...

Beautiful, classic cowboy saddle gun. Way to go. Good shooting too.
