What's the quality like on these? Where are they made? Anyone seen their 1860 Henry?

Might have answered my own question. These are Ubertis?

I think Ubertis are fairly highly regarded. Aren't they owned by Beretta?

I heard Beretta is the oldest manufacturing company in the world. Of course, there might be a few Chinese firms that might have something to say about that....

I actually started a Uberti topic so most of the answers are there. It looks like Cimmarons are the same rifle. Thks.

I don't personally own any Uberti's, but there are a few I'd certainly LIKE to get my grimy mitts on. :)

I've never owned or shot a Henry . But in lever guns I had many Rossi and Marlin shooting them in SASS matches . I found that bottle neck cartridge 30-30 , 32-20 and 44-40 run best in them because in chambering the brass must runs up the ramp into a funnel like chamber and don't bind in chambering . On straight wall case like 357 , 44 mag or 45 Colt the 66 and 73 rifles are king because they use a elevator to lift the cartridge in perfect alignment with chamber before push it in . NO binding and makes for a super smooth chamber . There is tons aftermarket part for the 66 and 73 making into the perfect race gun . This is the 1st only target I ever shot at 50 yds on paper since I only shoot it on steel targets .

I have a 92 Rossi clone in 38/357 and know what you mean. If you cycle it to fast or too slow or have it at a cant you have chambering issues. So far all my Henrys are rimfire and I don't have any issue with them. But as this forum grows I'm noticing the centerfire rifles are taking over. Cimmaron and Uberti makes nice looking firearms but Rossi's aren't much to look at. I think Henrys are beautiful in style and material and are Made in the U.S.A.

My 44-40 Rossi was smooth as glass with a bottle neck brass and shot it for 16 yrs in SASS /CAS matches without a jam or miss fire and I used for deer hunting in Tn . I don't remember ever shooting the 44-40 on paper target since it was a steel target shooter . The other Rossi in the other the pictured is a 357 / 38 and I got a super deal on it . These are the only 2 targets I shot with this gun I remember in the 3 weeks I owed it . It was super accurate and it work great , but in rapid fire the straight wall try to jam and jerk the front sight off the target and enlarging the chamber would be need . I owed the 73 Beretta / Uberti clone in 357 /38 at the same time and it love straight wall brass and you could hardly tell if you were cycling a loaded or empty action and the front sight never came off target like my 44-40 Rossi .... I hope this makes sense .
