Hi all,
I have a Lyman tang sight which has no numbers etc on the base at all. I was told it would fit my Winchester 94 but when I place it in position it looks very close to the bolt when cocking the rifle. Is that correct? It is not touching but within a couple of mil , I was wondering if it was the wrong sight butnthee is as I said no identifying marks and I cannot find any pics on line showing the peep on a rifle with the bolt back
Thanks

Re: Help with Lyman tang sight
your reluctance is well understood and completely justified .... do you have a local gunsmith that you could have take a look at it ....

Re: Help with Lyman tang sight
What's the vintage of your Winchester? The current Miorku made 94 with a tang safety takes a different tang sight than the old classic 94s.

Re: Help with Lyman tang sight
A miss is a miss unless you are playing horseshoes. As long as it doesn't touch it shouldn't matter. I would be more concerned on how the base fits to the tang. Also make sure it has the right stem for sighting.
