Looks like they may be looking to go after some cowboy action shooters...

Good looking rifle. Note the ladder sight....and in 44-40. Can a Winchester "Henry" be on their radar?

Interesting. I wonder how they will sell. With there reputation of in and out of business and now back to an older design that Uberti has had the market on for quite sometime. I would almost think that people looking at a gun that style would buy the Uberti first. Maybe not. Just guessing. Al

From what I've read the Uberti 1866 is a very popular rifle for cowboy action shooters. Could be too that Winchester wants some of the brass receiver market, I'm sure the HRA and Uberti booths are very busy places at big gun shows.

I agree, it's a great looking Rifle.
A great tribute to their long, great American History here in the US.
...and they're made in Japan.
No thanks.

It will be hard for them to beat factory 66/73 race guns / short stroke of Uberti / Cimmarron make for the SASS/CAS shooter .

I also think the Ubertis are better looking.

I guess if it really matters to have the name on it someone will want one. I think they are late to market if CAS is the target.

The 66/73 will not handle hot hunting ammo because the toggle is the weak link and that is why the 92/94 was designed for hot smokeless powder hunting loads . When it come smooth and fast the 66/73 is KING .
