Do we have any members who like the old blued steel and walnut rifles from years past? I have been collecting Remington's for quite a while and that was the rifles I grew up shooting. Dad always had the old Remington and Winchester 22's around the house. Love to shoot them when I can.

That is an outstanding collection of .22 rifles! As far as the old ones, I only have the old Springfield single shot that was my dads from about 1935.

Darn. Lotta nice walnut trees died for your collection. :)

That's mighty impressive.

Dutch you have to be a little bit goofy to have this many to keep up with. I hate to get rid of them they are like friends when you have them so long. There is nothing wrong with having only one like you said you do. I am just a 22 fanatic and my wife likes 22's also and that means we do more things together because she likes to burn up ammo to. It is great you have your Dads rifle. A few of these were my Dads.

Nice collection, bandit1250. Must take a while to rotate through them and shoot all of them.

I have a Remington 512 that was my Dad's. The rear buckhorn sight was missing on it. I got a new Skinner peep for the dovetail, but now I need to get a taller front sight. I know that probably "ruins" the collectability factor, but I hope to pass it down to my grandson. It still shoots as good as any of my newer .22 rifles.

Remington #6 rolling block Boys Rifle. 22 short, long, long rifle. Made in 1914. So fun to shoot and it's a tack driver. It's also a a takedown.

I really like that collection.
Here is a picture of my Remington 513T (circa 1947) that I bought from my neighbor for $25 30 years ago:

This was my dad's Stevens Buckhorn .22 that he received for his 12th birthday in 1933.

Picture of when he received it.

Picture 80 years later before he passed away.

It now resides in my safe and I will never get rid of it.

RIP, dad. Still miss you.

Might as well post the family portrait:

So nice for you to have the old and new pictures of him holding the same rifle!
