Well...it's blue(ish), and very shiny.
As I expected, the dye was absorbed better in some places (curves and endgrain) than in others...it's a little blotchy. Next time I feel the need to add color, I'll use thinned down oil-based artists paint for a base, rather than a water/alcohol based dye. The finish turned out great, though...it's hard to convey through cell phone pics on a forum, but the stock looks like it was dipped in liquid glass. Personally, I prefer the natural look and feel of an oil finish on my stocks, but this one isn't mine, and Girly likes 'em shiny.
