WOOW .............. I love pic of all the guns .

I assemble and taylor made this to fit me for long range offhand hunting and my health stopped that and I only got to test fire it in the 10 yrs I owned it before I sold it .

JEBar wrote:“Beware the man with one gun, he knows how to use it.” .... somehow I can't shake that thought as I open the door of the gun safe and gaze at the various rifles therein .... we have other rifles that I really like and use but if forced to only have one rifle, I'd have to go with our 40+/- year old Remington 700 BDL chambered in 300 WBY Mag .... the reason is simple, it is capable of making both the short and very long range shots that are common to various areas we hunt ....
a picture of our Remington 700's .... at the top of the picture is the 300 mentioned above .... the one on the bottom is a 30+ year old stainless 30-06 .... the 300 is fitted with a 4 X 12 Nikon, the 30-06 with a 3 X 9 Nikon .... both have been upgraded with Pachmayr Triple Mag Field Pads, Mercury Recoil Suppressors inserted in the stock, and Mag-Na-Ported .... that combination of upgrades has reduced recoil to the point my wife who has a small frame and can't weigh much over 100 lbs (nope, I don't ask  ) can (and has) shoot them from a sandbag rest .... as noted, if we had to go with just one, it would be with the 300, it is capable of taking any game that walks in US at ranges further than I can see .... both have fired thousands of rounds over the years and both are still dead on at any range we choose to use them .... the '06 was purchased when we changed hunting clubs and no longer needed a rifle with the range of the 300 (+ the change provided a great reason to purchase another rifle :D )

Great thread, but it seems like the Henry's are in the minority here ?

Of course many here still favor our old rifles that predate these new Henrys.

I guess it just takes time............
