Re: 45-70. on the range
Got my rifle back from the porting job.
And what a way to return a item to a customer.
The whole gun is covered in black milling dust
Inside and out. I can hardly work the action.
They will never see another dime from me.
And I paid 35.00 to have them disassemble and reassemble the rifle.
Now it's going to my gunsmith to have it completely striped down and cleaned.

interesting .... I've had them port several rifles and one pistol .... have never had a problem .... have you contacted them, if so, I'd appreciate hearing what they have to saybiglever wrote:Got my rifle back from the porting job.

That's a shame. I wonder what the reason will be?

Dropped it off to my dealer to be cleaned and he said he would be emailing them with my complaint. About the condition it was returned in.

Re: 45-70. on the range
My dealer emailed them, and got a phone call back
In about 20 mins.
He said, they don't know how it could happen.?
I had the gun Smith strip it. And clean it.
Took it to the range And can say in made a big diff.
In tameing the muzzle jump.
But found out it's shooting low.
So went back to the gun shop and had them put a shorter front fire site on it. And put the rear site at about half way up the elevation. And bore site it.
Then they had me take it out back to there range.
And shoot it at 50yds. I hit the 10 spot at 6 o'clock.
Dead on. So next trip to the club range I can fine tune my 450m. At last.
