Well Honey, it followed ...
me home. 1894 Marlin in .44 Magnum. Yes I know it isn't a Henry but I like it anyway. Already have dies and components to load my own. Now the fun begins!

Re: Well Honey, it followed ...
Good for you. Have had more than one of those 1894s in 44 mag follow me home, too. I do understand.
Re: Well Honey, it followed ...
Did not have a Marlin 44 mag follow me home. But, I had a Henry 30-30 follow me. So, I can relate. My wife, not so much. She thinks one is more than enough. But, my daughter did buy me a gun case for it. So, it is becoming part of the family.

As William Blake, the poet, wrote: "You never know how much is enough until you've had too much."
I'm not there yet with guns. May never get there, in fact.

Gonna have to warm up a bunch first before I do any outdoor shooting! Gives me time to scrape up some dinero for a Leupold VX-R 1-4 optic!

Is that going to follow you home to?Abnermal wrote:Gonna have to warm up a bunch first before I do any outdoor shooting! Gives me time to scrape up some dinero for a Leupold VX-R 1-4 optic!

Well you know, almost anything is possible. I have been thinking about a shotgun or maybe another lever action (if I find one at a decent price) or maybe a nice 38spl for the wife. She seems to like shooting my 357 with 38spl. But, time will tell.North Country Gal wrote:As William Blake, the poet, wrote: "You never know how much is enough until you've had too much."

Most certainly! Have a VX-R Patrol on an AR15.Absolutely the best optic I've ever seen for short to medium range.BigAl52 wrote:Is that going to follow you home to?Abnermal wrote:Gonna have to warm up a bunch first before I do any outdoor shooting! Too many guns?
When the big safe got stuffed...
I added another safe.

I added one of the Sentry long gun safes, and made it disappear.
Ah, not from the wife... never. Just prying eyes.

I always figured its easier to beg for forgiveness than asking for permission. Just seems to work out better.
