Favorite five 22's

Post by bandit1250 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 10:55 am

I posted on another forum that asked about five of your favorite 22's. I posted some pictures of mine and also five of my wife's. My Henry Frontier would come in at number six but they asked for five.

Old cowgirl me would love to have any of those Marlins. What a beautiful collection you have!

By now, I don't think it would surprise many when my favorite 22s are all revolvers and single action revolvers, at that. We do have some nice 22 DA revolvers and a couple of semi-auto 22 pistols, too, but my very first handgun, ever, was a Single Six, some forty plus years, ago, and I've never been without one or two, since.

Okay, not five, but these are all six guns, so I'm going with six. :)

The top two are Ruger Bearcats, not Single Sixes, but I love them just as much.

The two in the row below the Bearcats are my personal favorites, with the Bisley fixed sight on the left and one of my most prized revolvers in the 1958 Old Model Single Six.

The two stainless below those are my husbands favorites. He much prefers the fiber optic sights on the New Model for the sake of visibility and, at the very bottom, he loves the balance of the big Single Six Hunter, which is actually one of our most accurate 22 revolvers.

Y'all are making me turn green with envy!

Me, I can't pick five favorites. Every .22 I own, with the exception of one I am selling, is my favorite.

I tend to agree with this reply. Every one I own is some what of a favorite or it would be long gone down the road. ;)

my Grandfather's vintage Remington Model 12 22 is the most accurate 22 I've ever fired .... it has an octagonal barrel and Lyman tang sight .... its pump action is very solid and smooth
