Appears to have been an engineering waste of time. How 1200 of them even got made is surprising.

The number of attempts at developing repeating, non-cartridge case guns is staggering.Appears to have been an engineering waste of time.
1200 for this one is amazing as many never made it past a few prototypes.
Historically they were all within a pretty narrow time frame between typical muzzleloading rifles and the first cartridge guns.
