Okay, that's weird. The pictures looked just fine when I previewed the post, but now they look scrunched.
It's a knowm phpBB software bug.

I've never seen a 17-6 in person. That would be a nice pick up if I found one.

Unfortunately, the glitch sticks with us. I have yet to be able to find a suitable solution. You pictures look good anyways.

NCG - thanks. Kind of a labor of love once I got started on them. The original Model 66 grips were too big for my hands, and the replacement Pachmayrs were narrower, but still too long front to back. These are better. And viewed from the bottom are obviously from the same piece of wood. The original Goncalo Alves were mismatched from different pieces of wood. The original Blackhawk grips were too narrow at 1.1" and had a rough texture. The Maple grips are about 1.4" side to side and are smooth.

Dave - And I wasn't even looking for one! He also sold it to me at well below what I'm seeing as current market price. And that's compared to guns without the fancy "17-6 only" grips. I'm not saying that to gloat, only to point out that those kinds of opportunities ARE out there. I don't know why I've stumbled into as many as I have. Blessed, I guess.
