NCG That kind of shooting with a Springer takes a lot of concentration and focus on technique. I have a Beeman HW97 that shoots very well when I can remember to use the same hold for each shot. Hundreds of Starlings, female cowbirds and chipmunks to its credit.

Al52 Beautiful stock on that 77/22.

Thx NCG and 5Shot. I’ve got a HW95 that loves to hunt Grackles but its only allowed to hunt when the wife isn’t here. But many Grackles have seen the dumpster

I have this All-Weather 77-22 Hornet. A friend loaded it to me three plus years ago when I moved to Wisconsin and he moved to Alaska. It’s got the long stainless steel bull barrel and laminated stock. I’m not sure of the actual weight but with the bull barrel and Nikon Buckmaster it weighs a ton.

Those rifles are usually very good shooters. They made those in 22 and 22 mag and to buy or find one now you will pay a good bit for it

Years ago, I went looking for a Bull Barreled 10-22 or a Bolt Actioned Ruger 22 with a heavy barrel for use as a Plinking Target gun for myself and for Squirrels for the wife. My guy at the LGS told me he had just sold the last of the Rugers but he had just the gun for me, a CZ455. I wasn't familiar with them, but I had been buying from the guys since High School, and bought a lot of the Department's equipment from them as well, so I trusted him. I told him to add a Good Scope, and a sling. He bore sighted the scope for free...

My first five shots at twenty five shots proved he didn't lie... ;)

Tina loves the rifle and has used it for years. I keep an eye out for the Rugers, but haven't seen them in the LGS's here.
They don't come up, people hold on to them. Gee, wonder why?

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

CZ's are great guns and I love all of mine. I own more CZ's than anything else.

NCG, thanks for this thread. I passed up the 77/22 when they came out and wish now................. I would pick one up if I ran across it.

Very nice air gun shooting. Very nice!

Thanks, again, folks. More of you have 77/22s than I suspected, so that's pretty cool. Same for the CZs. Very true that you don't see many of the Rugers for sale, any more.

We don't get Starlings or House Sparrows in our neighborhood, which is all acreages. Guess we're just not urban enough. Fine by me.
