I finally saw one in person

Post by daytime dave » Fri Jan 24, 2025 8:23 am

I was picking up a gun at a shop recently. This shop made a HUGE display on their wall for handguns. As I looked them all over while I waited, I finally saw a Henry revolver in person. Of course I asked to handle it and look it over. As I have read, I can say that they are much more impressive in person than in pictures.
Will I go back and get it? I sure will. What won me over is the feel of quality once I had it in hand. It also fit my hand like a glove. It was the squareish handled model. I'm not sure when I'll get back to this place, but I plan on picking it up.

Can't wait to see the pictures. Is he planning on ordering in the birdshead model so you can compare both before you buy?

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Good for you, Dave. I'd be very interested to see how it shoots for you.

LGS had a Henry in 357 today. I picked it up and it felt pretty good with a good trigger and tight cylinder. Had a $799 price tag on it but I put it back. I don't need a 357 right now.

I think he may have one with the birdshead too. It wasn't out.

It will likely be several months before I get it. I don't get there often.

Thanks Dave,

I like the feel of the Birdshead, and my Uberti 357 is very comfortable to shoot.

With it's ugly looks, high price and NO adjustable sights......I'll never own one.
