Recently picked up a S&W 627 after many years without a snubby revolver. I have put right at 200 rounds through it now, and I have the sight picture figured out, and the heavy double action trigger is starting to feel better. Gallon jugs at 10 yards or so are in big trouble now that the trigger squeeze is coming around.
Shooting 158 grain round nose out of it, like in days of old when I was a young cop and we carried 38 wheelguns. I doubt I will ever shoot +P loads out of it.

Would love to see some pics. I've always admired the 27 and 627. We have a 28 Hiway patrolman, the budget version of the 27.

I had a 6" model 27 as a young Marine that shot like it was laser guided. Although my 27 was a 357, I notice yours is marked 38+p. My current J frame snubby is a 357. 
I loved that gun, but with a family, when someone else who loved shooting THAT model 27 as much as I did offered me twice the price of a new one... I couldn't say no.
It's one of a half dozen or so I regret turning loose.
I am sure we all have a list.
That 627 looks great with the new grips.

Coach, that is one of the great snubby revolvers of all time. Beautiful.
Here's a snubby I recently added to the collection. It's a Dan Wesson 15-2 357 mag with a 2 1/2" barrel. Love the little J frames and small frame Kimber stubby revolvers, but I can shoot this bad boy much more accurately. Of course, being a Dan Wesson, I can change barrels to different lengths when I want, say a 6" in the pic or a 4" or even an 8".
