It's what initially drew my eye toward it.

Re: Henry H001GG
After playing around with my new garden gun more, and showing it off to others, I'm pretty sure I have sold two more of them!
One for sure, it's already been ordered and shipped.
The second just saw it yesterday and said they were going to be looking for one.
It is much more accurate at 25' than I expected.
I can't wait to see just how far I can get it wrung out.
I'm so impressed with it that I emailed Henry to congratulate them on a job well done.
If you've ever had an interest in a garden gun, Henry makes a very nice one.

I also mentioned that I would like to see Henry produce a Homesteader model in both .45acp and 10 mm.

Re: Henry H001GG
Well, I still love my garden gun, but I needed to send it back to NJ.
It feeds well, shoots great, ejects as advertised, but the tube magazine has issues.
When I first got it home I thought the inner magazine tube was difficult to extract.
I chalked it up to being a new gun, and maybe not enough lube.
I cleaned the inner and outer tubes and lightly greased the outside of the inner tube.
It helped a little, but not enough.
I can insert the inner tube about 4" before it binds up and stops.
It will not drop freely to the bottom like my other Henry's.
I can insert it all the way, and lock the stud, but it requires a good bit of force, and that's just not right.
So, I requested a warranty repair and received a return label in 24 hours.
Box her up and sent her out today.
I know Henry will make it right but I'm a little surprised that it passed "quality control " in it's present condition.
Anyone know what the current turn around time is with Henry customer service these days?

Not sure about their turn around time is. Maybe someone else will chime in who has had work done recently. For what its worth, I have not had any issues with my GG. Like you said, I'm sure Henry will make it right.

I still wonder if the HRA declining CQ issues are caused by Mr. I no longer being the head man of record or that they are overtaxed trying to produce all of the new models and the revolvers. It seems like there are a lot more being returned to correct things that should have never put in a box and shipped out.

I think the firearms industry has always had QC problems. Now with forums like this the word gets spread much faster about issues.Travlin wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 11:40 pmI still wonder if the HRA declining CQ issues are caused by Mr. I no longer being the head man of record or that they are overtaxed trying to produce all of the new models and the revolvers. I had the same problem with the mag tube on my Frontier, halfway down it got very tight. I cleaned it and used dry lube and it slides in easier. Just like you I think it should just slide down. Henry's response time is usually fast maybe one or two weeks.
