Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
My Henry .22 will not feed
My Henry .22 will not feed
Hello I have a Henry H001, that I love shooting, just stopped same. Extreme Bummer. It will not feed a round into the chamber. A round does not pop up when the lever is fully downward. I seems the part that lifts the rounds up so the bolt can catch them is frozen or not functioning. I was wondering if anybody has had this happen, if there is any possible field fix or do I just need to send it in. Thanks!

Check the tube. It may have come loose and dropped down towards the receiver. If so, it won't feed. Doesn't take much movement to cause an issue.

Just a thought that maybe the problem is with the ejector spring not clearing the previously spent round?

Re: My Henry .22 will not feed
Not to long ago I tried to feed a round that was a misfire from another rifle, that dent in the rim was enough to keep the round from feeding front the feed tube to the chamber. Pulling the tube, I was able to remove that "stuck" round.
Lesson learned, don't try to reuse a rimfire round. At only $.10 a round it's not worth it!
