Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
Who else is looking for one?
Re: Who else is looking for one?
The Homesteader is not for me since I already have a Ruger PCC in 9mm. Now if Henry decide to produce one in 45 ACP I will give it a second look.

Re: Who else is looking for one?
I was interested in the Homesteader when the news first broke. None of the LGS's around here are getting them in stock and I'd want to handle one before before plunking down the money. On Gun Broker they're selling at $1000 or more which seems a little bit rich to me. Then I read what seemed to be a real world range test from Outdoor Life. The trigger pull on the rifle in their test had a considerable amount of creep and registered 6 lbs. 10 oz. and accuracy at 100 yards was in the 6" to 8" range with a scope sight. It wouldn't be realistic to expect MOA accuracy or a crisp light trigger pull from a 9mm carbine....BUT....I would not be happy with that particular rifle.

It doesnt sound like to many early buyers of this rifle are very happy with them either.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

It will still be 3 or 4 weeks before I am able to shoot mine. I did buy two 27 round glock mags to push through it. I'm looking forward to it.
