Still waiting, told it is coming eventually. Shipments that he was told were coming didn't show due to Uberti/Italy lockdown, shipments that were supposed to ship came partial not complete, sounds like a big mess. Taylor's received some Pedersoli highwalls, both classic and sporting models but 45-70's and another caliber, maybe 38-55 but even if they had a 45 Colt, I don't like the looks of those rifles. I have not invested a penny yet so I will wait for what I want. Taylors is working on it, they say they are getting small shipments weekly now so I will wait. They have the sight in stock now, just need the rifle to mount it on. I spoke with the dealer last week, he called me. Apologized for the mess but he has not had a shipment since spring 2019 due to the license stuff and then the flu BS.
Anyhow, it will be worth the wait.

Looking at an 1885 Winchester in 38-55 might be a retirement gift from me to me.

Hey, RR, a 38-55 would be a great single shot cartridge, now that you reload. Not that it really matters, but the 38-55 is a more authentic old time rifle cartridge than the 45 Colt.

Easy to load for RR and very easy on the shoulder. I know you like big holes but this 38-55 caliber is so fun to shoot and its one of my all time favs. It would definitely out distance the 45 colt

I appreciate the suggestions, and I guess folks must think I am nuts for waiting this long but I want the 1885 in 45 Colt. Stubborn old cowboy I guess who doesn't know when to quit. :)

Nope not me. Get what you want for sure. If you don’t you will always want it if you get something else to take its place. Don’t blame you a bit for keeping it simple you always have.

It will show up. When it does I will exact my revenge on some 3" targets at 100 yds.
