Yesterday I headed out to our property about 90 minutes north of home. The hoped for rain didn’t happen so I got there early to take advantage of any dew and humidity that might be available as I was concerned about starting a fire. Left home at 5:00 and arrived at my gate at 7:00 after stops for gas in the truck and a breakfast sandwich for me. I only mowed the upper part which is nearest the spot we will be parking the RV week after next. Got it done without a wildfire starting. Here’s some before and after pics. I mowed it very tall to keep my blades away from any possible fires sparking rocks. Normally I would mow it a bit shorter.
I also did some week spraying, weed whacking and a little bit of limbing along the driveway.

We had issues. There is someone taking care of things. The site may be up and down for a bit.

Nice property indeed. I didn’t realize it was so dry there.

It’s very dry and getting worse every year. Thankfully this property does have some sub irrigation plus a creek running thru it. You can’t see in my pics but the property goes downhill to the creek and is much greener in that area. This shot is looking down the driveway to the county road from the shop.
